Rick Larson, head coach of the Jefferson High School Boy's Golf Team(2006 AA Minnesota State Champion
) and Dave Larson, head coach of the Jefferson High Girl's Team, joined us today to talk about the golf program and their student-athletes. Both of them are most proud of the outstanding people that the program are producing.
Alexandria Rotarian Mark Anderson arranged for Crystal Hoeper from Douglas County Public Health to present a program on Worksite Health Screenings.
A healthy workforce provides many benefits for both employers and individuals. Among the many benefits of a healthy workforce are reduced absenteeism, improved employee moral, increased productivity and a decrease in the cost of health care. Douglas County Public Health shares the goals of businesses to improve wellness among their staff. Public Health provides resources and education on a variety of health topics to assist businesses looking to improve the overall wellness of their workforce.

Dr. Terry Quist was our guest speaker today at the invitation of Rotarian Dave Anderson. Dr. Quist is the new Superintendent of District 206. The goals set for 2006-07 are 1) Leadership Development and Transition 2)Long Range Facility 3)T Comp Refinement. Dr. Quist's personal goal is to keep hope and opportunity alive for each student. Visting Rotary today as guest were Andrew Rajdl, Dan Storvik(sp) and Curt Larson(Dist. 5950 Assistant Governor). Curt also delivered a Presidential Citation to the Alexandria Rotary Club on behalf of District Governor Dan Barnett.
