Alexandria Rotarians enjoyed a song ("Row, Row, Row Your Boat") and quick lunch (beef stew) at H. Boyd Nelson for today's meeting before loading their vehicles full of roses to be delivered around the community.
Any Rotarian who contributes – or in whose name is contributed – a gift of $1,000 or more to the Annual Programs Fund may become a Paul Harris Fellow. Each new Paul Harris Fellow receives a commemorative certificate, a Paul Harris Fellow pin, and a medallion. Fred Bursch presented these items to new Paul Harris Fellows Kevin Klepper and Mike Johnson. Fred also presented Charlie Meyer with a pin that has a sapphire. Charlie received this as he was already a Paul Harris Fellow but has made additional contributions to become a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
Other meeting notes: Tim Asche won the $10 drawing...Linda Kloubec tried her luck in the Marble Drawing but found a blue marble...today's program: Jim Eidsvold presented information about the Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum.
The MLMM is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of antique and classic watercraft, resort memorabilia and sporting equipment used on the lakes of Minnesota.
