The Food Shelf

Ron Domschot was the guest speaker today at the weekly Alexandria Rotary Club meeting. Ron is well known in Alexandria, having spent many years as an educator and coach in Alexandria. He impacted thousands of kid's lives. Ron has retired from teaching and now uses his energy and spirit at the Outreach Food Shelf located at 1205 Lake Street. Ron spoke today about the positive influence of the Food Shelf and what the citizens of Douglas County can do to help. One way to help and also have a great time, is to be at 8th and Nokomis between 11:45 am & 12:45 pm on Thursday, December 14th. The Canadian Pacific Railway's Holiday Train will be passing through Alexandria bringing food for the Food Shelf and providing entertainment including Wisconsin folk-rocker Willy Porter, New Grass Revival guitarist Pat Flynn and country star Tracey Brown. Please bring a non-perishable food item or cash donation to the show.
