Wings

Dorie Twist Dorie Twist was at the noon Alexandria Rotary meeting today for a presentation about Wings Family Supportive Services. Dorie is the Executive Director of Wings.

Wings is an advocate for and provides supportive services to homeless, vulnerable and less fortunate children and their families. Some of Wings' services include Transitional Housing, Child & Youth Services Programs, PLUS Kids, Father's Program and Parent Services.

Douglas County Public Library

Img076 Trish Conroy, Douglas County Librarian, entertained Rotarians at the Club's weekly meeting at the Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria. Along with many anecdotes and quips, Trish also gave information about the formation of the library, the people behind the library, daily operations and the future.
