Group Study Exchange Opportunity

Indian flag The District 5950 Group Study Exchange Program committee is gearing up for a trip to India. They are looking to assemble an outstanding team to visit India for a month. The purpose? To build cultural awareness between our districts.

They are looking for one outstanding Rotarian to serve as Team Leader and four dynamic non-Rotarians to serve as Team Members. Those interested should contact Chrysanne Manoles via email or phone (952-476-1551).

Fish Fry

Rotary Fish Fry The weather was iffy a few hours prior to today's meeting so a decision was made to have the annual Fish Fry at the Garden Center instead of City Park.

It was a memorable meeting that included plenty of visiting Rotarians and guests, good news, announcements and entertaining stories. Plus, Pete Pfeffer led the group through a record number of songs.

An enjoyable time and great meal (thank you Charlie!) was enjoyed by all in attendance.

Advantage Alexandria

Advantage Two Rotarians, Tom Jacobson and Rick Paulsen, stepped up to the podium for today's program at the Alexandria Rotary Meeting. Their topic was Alexandria and the steps that are being taken to enure it's continued success as a community.

Alexandria remains a strong regional hub for manufacturing, retail, health care, tourism and agriculture.To aid in the continued success of the area, a stewardship program was formed. Named Advantage Alexandria, it is committed to the long-term well-being of our community, and it's goal is to unite our region for a vibrant future.

Impact Alexandria

Impact Alexandria The Alexandria Rotary Club welcomed Jill Jerdee to today's meeting at the Broadway Ballroom to share information about Impact Alexandria (formally Community Live & Learn) and this year's motivational speaker, John Maxwell.

This annual event was started by Tastefully Simple in 2003 along with local sponsoring partners. Each year world-renowned motivational speakers such as Zig Ziglar, Jack Canfield, Amanda Gore, Stephen Covey and Ken Blanchard have inspired and influenced our community.
