Rotary International is comprised of over 33,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 200 countries. Each country is then divided into districts and each district has a District Governor that serves a 1 year term.
The Alexandria Rotary Club is part of District 5950 and as of yesterday, the 96th District Governor is Sandy Schley. One of her many duties is to visit all 60 District 5950 clubs. Sandy was also our guest speaker and she shared both her goals for the 2009-2010 Rotary year as well as the goals of Rotary International and District 5950.

At next week's meeting: Troy Aupperle. Troy recently climbed Mount Everest and is now one of a select few that have reached the peak of the Seven Summits (the 7 highest peaks of the seven continents).
