United Way

Sue Jung Jessica BoyerAt the January 21, 2010 meeting of the Alexandria Rotary Club, members were briefed on the many activities of the United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties. Rotarian Sue Jung introduced guest speaker Jessica Boyer, the agency’s community impact director. She shared highlights of some of the United Way’s current initiatives, including Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and programs to provide food vouchers, school supplies and wood for heating to needy families and individuals.
